Hotels update – Carlton Tel Aviv

Dear Friends,

Passover is a time for celebration in Israel and in Jewish communities worldwide. It also marks the start of spring, and is an ideal time for us to keep you updated about the Carlton's new and exciting projects.

I am delighted to inform you that our extensive renovation project is now complete. The new northwest entrance, offering magnificent views of the Mediterranean, will lead you into our spacious, and recently refurbished, lobby. Chic, yet comfortable, this new lobby design perfectly reflects the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the Carlton as a whole. The new entrance also provides direct access to the beach, and to the famous Tel Aviv promenade, which leads to the ancient city of Jaffa in the south and the cosmopolitan Tel Aviv Port in the north.

From Passover, the Carlton on the Beach,
the hotel's unique dining venue, will
be reopened, providing sumptuous
breakfasts in lavish surroundings,
combined with a magnificent sea view.

We are also excited to introduce all of our guests to a new package: "Choose to Have it All", which we are offering in cooperation with the David Citadel Jerusalem, Isrotel Royal Beach Eilat, Isrotel Carmel Forest Spa, and the Isrotel Dead Sea. We invite you to create your perfect holiday in Israel with a flexible package offering a choice of five luxury hotels in Israel’s leading tourist destinations. Please contact Naftali for further enquires.

Finally, the staff of the Carlton Tel Aviv and I would like to wish you and your family a happy Passover and a wonderful spring.

Best wishes,

Jimmy Zohar

General Manager

Our Chef's Passover Holiday Recipe

Matzah Rolls filled with Meat, Peppers and Smoked Eggplant

Ingredients:
2 onions
Olive oil
5 roasted peppers
450g minced beef
2 roasted and chopped eggplants
Handful of chopped coriander and mint
3 ground garlic cloves
1tbsp. potato flour
Salt and pepper
Cinnamon and clove to taste
½ liter of tomato sauce
10 matzahs

To Prepare:
Chop the onions and steam with the olive oil until golden brown. Leave to cool. Add the onions to the mincemeat, garlic, coriander and mint, roasted eggplants, potato flour, salt, and pepper.
Remove seeds from the peppers and cut into strips.
Soak the matzahs in a dish with lukewarm water until soft. Cut them in half and place a strip of pepper in each matzah. Then place a dollop of the meat mixture on each matzah. Roll the matzahs, and neatly place them in a baking dish. Pour the tomato sauce on top, and bake at medium heat for about 45 minutes.
