"One of the best 10 breakfasts in the world!" – This compliment has been recently bestowed by LONELY PLANET'S FOOD LOVERS GUIDE TO THE WORLD on the well known Jerusalem restaurant Tmol-Shilshom.

Located in the historic neighborhood of Nahalat Shiava in the heart of Jerualem, Tmol-Shilshom is well known for its good food, but its main reputation so far has been its cultural legacy. Israel's best known poet, the late Yehuda Amichai was the first Israeli writer to have read at Tmol-Shilshom. After Amichai there were Amos Oz, David Grossman, Zruya Shalev and many other literary giants.

Celebrating the success of its Shakshuka, which was specifically mentioned at Lonely Planet (out of Tmol's various breakfasts) the restaurant is now having a Shakshuka Festival, offering as many as 10 different Shakshukas, with spreads and salad and wine – all in one deal.

Tmol-Shilshom is an ideal choice for FIT's who want to explore and experience the charms of Jerusalem. The place is set in an antique beautiful house, adorned with nooks, arches and niches, and is filled with old furniture and book shelves.
