Jordan Visa – charge increase effective immediately

Please note that the Jordanian Government will be increasing Entry Visa charges at all airports and border crossings from  USD 30 to USD 60 per person. The new charge will be applicable for any arrivals from 1st April 2014.

Fri. – Sat. 08:00 A.M. – 15:00 P.M. 

BORDER CROSSINGS BETWEEN FROM ISRAEL TO JORDAN

Sheik Hussein – Northern border (between Tiberias and Jerash)

  1. Upon arrival at the border please make your way to the passports counter to pay departure tax.
  2. You will need to catch the shuttle bus that departs regularly between the two borders.
  3. Upon arriving onto the other side please complete baggage and security checks.
  4. Upon completing border crossing procedures please look for your driver near the exit with a sign with your name on it.
  5. For entry into Jordan you will be required to pay for a Jordan visa that is provided automatically upon arrival.

Costs

Israel departure tax        100 NIS ($30 USD) – can be paid in NIS or $USD
Jordan departure tax        10 JD ($14 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar. 
(Change facilities are provided)
Israel entry visa Free and automatic 
Jordan entry visa     43 JD ($60 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar. 
(Change facilities are provided)
Shuttle                       5 JD ($7.50 USD) – can be paid in Jordanian Dinar or $US

Allenby Bridge – Central border (between Jerusalem and Amman)

  1. Upon arrival at the border please make your way to the passports counter to pay departure tax.
  2. You will need to catch the shuttle bus that departs regularly between the two borders.
  3. Upon arriving onto the other side please complete baggage and security checks.
  4. Upon completing border crossing procedures please look for your driver near the exit with a sign with your name on it.
  5. For entry into Jordan here you will be required to pre-arrange a Jordan visa prior to arrival into Israel. Jordan visas are not available at the border.

Israel departure tax        173 NIS ($55 USD) – can be paid in NIS or $USD
Jordan departure tax         8 JD ($12 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar.

Israel entry visa Free and automatic 
Jordan entry visa    43 JD ($60 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar. 
Shuttle                       5 JD ($7.50 USD) – can be paid in Jordanian Dinar or $US

Arava – Southern border (between Eilat and Petra) 

  1. Upon arrival at the border please make your way to the passports counter to pay departure tax.
  2. You will need to walk approx. 500m across the borders. Luggage trolleys are provided.
  3. Upon arriving onto the other side please complete baggage and security checks.
  4. Upon completing border crossing procedures please look for your driver near passports with a sign with your name on it.
  5. For entry into Jordan you will require a Jordan visa that can be pre-arranged by us for collection at the border.

Israel departure tax        100 NIS ($30 USD) – can be paid in NIS or $USD
Jordan departure tax       8 JD ($12 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar. 
(Change facilities are provided) 
Israel entry visa Free and automatic 
Jordan entry visa           Free if returning via Arava border. 
If departing Jordan via a different border then 10 JD ($15 USD) – to be paid in Jordanian Dinar. 
Shuttle                       5 JD ($7.50 USD) – can be paid in Jordanian Dinar or $US

Please note for all border crossings:

Border crossings between the two countries can be time consuming, particularly during busy periods. It may be difficult to find your transfer driver as we do not know exactly when you will be exiting. If you cannot find your driver please call us so we can locate him for you.

For those not wishing to have their passports stamped with an Israeli tourist visa – Please fill out and have stamped a Form 17L available prior to Israeli passport control at airports and border crossings. Carry this document with you while in Israel as proof of tourist status.
